Safety

Trust is the whole point of OgaRepair. Here's how we protect you, and how you can protect yourself.

Every artisan is verified

Before an artisan can take a job, we check their CAC business registration, their NIN, a live selfie face-match against their ID, and their past work. Verification is a screening measure, not a guarantee of any particular job, so ratings and reviews from other customers matter too.

Keep payments on the platform

When you pay through OgaRepair, your money is held in escrow by our payment partner and only released when you confirm the job is complete. Never send a deposit or payment directly to an artisan's personal account. Payments made outside the platform are not covered by escrow or our dispute process.

Keep the conversation on the platform

Use OgaRepair chat to agree the scope, price and timing of the work. It keeps a record both sides can rely on if something goes wrong. Be wary of anyone who pushes to move the conversation or payment elsewhere.

On the day of the job

  • Check that the person who arrives matches the profile photo and name you booked.
  • Where you can, have someone else at home with you.
  • Keep valuables out of the work area.
  • Don't approve extra work verbally — ask for an updated quote in chat.

Report a problem

If you feel unsafe, leave and contact the emergency services first. To report an artisan or customer, or anything suspicious on the platform, contact us.
