Talk to the artisan first
Most problems are misunderstandings about scope or finish. Message the artisan in OgaRepair chat, explain what's wrong, and give them a chance to put it right.
Raise a dispute before you confirm
When the artisan marks a job complete, you can accept it or dispute it. Disputes must be raised before you confirm completion and before the confirmation window (currently 48 hours) runs out — after that, payment is released to the artisan.
When you dispute, tell us what went wrong and attach photos of the work. Clear evidence helps us decide fairly and quickly.
How we decide
While a dispute is open the payment stays in escrow. Our team reviews the job details, the chat history and the evidence from both sides, and decides in good faith to either:
- refund you in full,
- refund you in part, or
- release the payment to the artisan.
Cancellations
Cancellation terms are shown at the time of booking, before you pay.
Your rights
If a dispute can't be settled through our process, either side can refer it to mediation under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023. None of this removes the rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
See section 9 (payments and refunds) and section 17 (dispute resolution) of our Terms of Use, or contact us if you need help.
