What is OgaRepair?

OgaRepair is a marketplace that connects you with verified, background-checked artisans across Lagos: plumbers, electricians, AC technicians, carpenters and more. Prices are agreed up front and your payment is held safely until the job is done.

Is OgaRepair live yet?

We are in pre-launch and building our first network of verified artisans. Join the waitlist and founding members get their first callout free at launch.

How do you verify artisans?

Before an artisan can take a single job, they pass four checks: CAC business registration, NIN identity verification, a live selfie face-match, and a review of their skills and past work. Verification does not make any person infallible, but it means the professional is real, identifiable and accountable.

How does payment work? Is my money safe?

Yes. When you book a job, your payment is held securely in escrow through our payment partner (Paystack). The artisan is only paid once you confirm the work is complete and satisfactory. Your card details are handled by Paystack and are never stored by OgaRepair.

What is the callout fee?

A callout fee (currently [₦5,000]) covers a verified artisan coming to inspect your job and give you an accurate quote. It means no wasted trips and no vague pricing over the phone.

What if I am not happy with the work?

Because your money is held in escrow, you are not forced to release payment for work that is not done properly. If there is a dispute, you can raise it with us before funds are released, and we will help resolve it fairly under our Terms of Use.

Which areas and trades do you cover?

We are launching in Lagos, starting with the most-needed trades: plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning, carpentry, painting and general handywork. We are adding more trades and areas as we grow.

How do I become an artisan on OgaRepair?

Join the waitlist as an artisan, then complete verification when we open onboarding. You will need a valid NIN, your CAC business registration, and a phone for the face-match step.

Does it cost anything to join as an artisan?

Joining the waitlist is free. OgaRepair earns a service commission on completed jobs, so you only pay when you earn.

How is my personal data handled?

We handle your data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We collect only what we need to run the service, we protect it, and you have rights over it. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
